Trisha Bhattacharya is a moving image artist and educator from India. Her work is centred around memory, ecology and languages that permeate and extend friendships across borders. She is deeply invested in domestic archives, inherited oral storytelling traditions and the politics of sound.
She is a graduate from California Institute of the Arts, where she received an MFA in Film & Video. She is a recipient of the Bitchitra Collective Documentary Film and Media Fellowship (2024), the Flaherty Seminar Fellowship (2024), Hollywood Foreign Press Association Scholarship (2023-24), Lilian Disney Scholarship (2022-24), the AICAD Teaching Fellowship at Kansas City Art Institute (2025-26), and the Post-Graduate Teaching Fellowship at California Institute of the Arts (2025-26).
